Hoe we begonnen
We’ve been in this field long enough to see what actually works. Back in 2009, we noticed something troubling: organizations were struggling with change, not because they lacked resources or strategy, but because people weren’t ready for it emotionally. The anxiety, the resistance, the burnout — these weren’t technical problems.
Veerkracht Akademie B.V. started with a simple idea. If we could build real resilience — not the motivational poster kind, but the deep, practical kind — teams could adapt faster and actually thrive during transitions. We weren’t interested in quick fixes or one-off workshops that people forget by Tuesday.
What we’ve discovered over the years is that adaptability isn’t about being flexible in some vague sense. It’s about developing specific capabilities: emotional awareness, psychological safety, change literacy, and the ability to bounce back from setbacks. Organizations that invest in these see measurable improvements in employee retention, engagement, and actual business outcomes.
